1. Who we are
Stantia is a social training app for hybrid athletes. Training is the content; community is the product. You can create an account, publish workouts and posts, follow other athletes, train in-app, and discover content by specialty.

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Stantia, we may collect:
- Account information — email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), username, display name, and optional profile details such as bio, country, avatar, specialties, and feed preferences.
- User-generated content — workouts, posts, comments, session history, ratings, saved items, and other content you create or upload (including profile photos, workout covers, and post photos).
- Health and fitness metrics (optional, Apple platforms) — when you use Train with a paired Apple Watch and grant Health access, we may process workout-related metrics such as heart rate, active energy (calories), distance, and pace. These metrics may be shown live in the app, stored with your completed Train session summary, and written to Apple Health on your devices when you allow it. Without a Watch or without Health permission, Train works without collecting this data.
- Social graph data — who you follow, who follows you, likes, saves, blocks, and reports you submit.
- Device and usage data — basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service (for example app version, authentication session state, and crash/diagnostic signals if enabled).
- Support communications — messages you send to fmatamorosa98@icloud.com.
We do not require access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, or advertising identifiers for core Stantia features. Photo library access is requested only when you choose a profile photo, workout cover, or post photo. Apple Health / HealthKit access is requested only when you start Train metrics with a paired Apple Watch companion.
3. Apple Watch, Apple Health, and HealthKit
On iPhone, Stantia can work with an optional Apple Watch companion app and Apple’s HealthKit framework to capture Train session metrics.
- Optional — Live Watch metrics require a paired Apple Watch with the Stantia Watch app. If you do not use a Watch, or you decline Health permission, Train still works and we do not collect HealthKit metrics.
- What we access — with your permission, Stantia may read and write workout-related Health data needed for Train (for example heart rate, active energy, distance, and workout samples). We request access through the system Health permission prompts.
- How we use it — to show live metrics during Train, include summaries on completed sessions and history, and save workouts to Apple Health so they can appear alongside your other activity on your devices.
- What we do not do — we do not sell Health or fitness data, and we do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data-broker purposes. Health metrics are not required to use the social features of Stantia.
- Your control — you can change Health permissions anytime in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices (or the equivalent Health settings screen), and you can stop using Watch metrics by ending or not starting Watch-connected Train sessions.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account and athlete profile
- Provide feed, search, follow, like, save, train, and ranking features
- Display public profile fields and published content to other athletes
- Provide optional Apple Watch / HealthKit Train metrics and session summaries
- Send in-app notifications related to social activity
- Moderate the community (including reports and blocks)
- Improve reliability, security, and product quality
- Respond to support and privacy requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
5. How information is shared
- Other Stantia users — public profile fields, public posts, and public workouts are visible to other athletes. Private workouts remain in your library until you choose to share them. HealthKit metrics from Train are part of your session experience; they are not posted publicly unless you choose to share a session summary or similar content yourself.
- Apple Health on your devices — when you grant permission, workout data may be written to Apple Health / HealthKit on your Apple devices and governed by Apple’s Health settings and policies in addition to this Privacy Policy.
- Service providers — we use trusted infrastructure providers to host and operate Stantia. Today this includes Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) to store account data, content, media, and session records (which may include aggregate Train metrics you captured), and to run backend logic.
- Legal and safety — we may disclose information if required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect athletes, Stantia, or others from harm, abuse, or fraud.
6. Account deletion and your choices
You can:
- Edit profile information and feed preferences in Settings
- Delete posts and manage content you control
- Block other users and report content that violates guidelines
- Manage Apple Health permissions on your device, and choose whether to use Watch-connected Train metrics
- Delete your account in-app (Settings → Delete account), or follow the steps on our Delete account page. Account deletion removes your account and associated personal data we are not legally required to retain, including profile data and content tied to your account, subject to processing time and backups. Workout samples already saved in Apple Health remain under your Apple Health controls unless you delete them there.
You may also email fmatamorosa98@icloud.com to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable under local law.
7. Data retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active, including Train session summaries and any associated metrics stored with your Stantia account. After you delete your account, we remove or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Data stored in Apple Health on your devices is retained according to your Apple Health settings.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards provided by our cloud providers, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and keep your device secure.
9. Children’s privacy
Stantia is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact fmatamorosa98@icloud.com and we will take appropriate steps.
10. International processing
Stantia may process information on servers located outside your country (including through Firebase/Google Cloud regions). By using the app, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations subject to applicable safeguards.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Stantia evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, when changes are material, provide additional notice in the app or by email when appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
